King Cor was pacing the throne room, his servants watched him nervously. Cor turned to his spy and smiled.
“Tell me what you have found.” Cor demanded.
“Queen Briar adopted four children, two girls and two boys. And she is beginning to expand her empire, and has recently declared war on Exotia.” The spy grimaced as she betrayed her old friend.
“Why tell me about the children?” Cor raised his eyebrow questioningly.
“I'm just telling you what I found.” the spy huffed, not bothering to keep the annoyance out of her tone.
Cor opened his mouth to reply when two children burst in the room. Realizing they had interrupted, they bowed in apology before stepping forward. The servants in the room bowed for them as they approached Cor.
“Good morning you two.” Cor smiled and held out his arms. The kids shared a glance before running to him and giving him a hug for a moment until the kids pulled away.
“Father, we have something to ask you.” The boy said.
“There is a game called Cloud Arena that just came out. Could we get it please?” The girl asked once Cor had tilted his head in question.
“Of course. But I don’t want you two to use your real names ever in it. Use different names for the game, alright?”
“Don’t worry dad. I’ll make sure Maggie and I use fake names.” The boy smirked at his sister.
“Dad, I would listen even if Jackson didn’t try to make me.” Maggie crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out at her brother
“Now I have business to attend to. Run along now.” Cor smiled as his two kids rushed out of the room and he turned back to his spy.
“Now tell me, ‘Advisor Helena’. Do you know anything else about Briar’s kids?” Lydia sighed as she began to inform King Cor of everything she had learned.
“So. she might be possessed you say?” Cor paced slowly in front of Helena, a troubled expression on his face.
“That’s right sir.” Helena nodded, “oh and if I may add?”
“Yes?”
“The children she adopted are playing Cloud Arena and have formed a team called Blank.”
“Hmm.” Cor stopped pacing and turned to a servant, “Fetch my children.”
“Yes sir.” The servant bowed before quickly exiting the room.
“Are you going to tell your children to do something with Blank?” Helena asked.
“Yes. I will have them try to befriend the four siblings. And of course, to get them on our side.” Cor smiled darkly, waiting for his children.
“What?” Briar asked, annoyance edging her tone.
“Mom, you need to quit thinking Exotia is our enemy! They haven't done a single thing to provoke this. They've been peaceful towards us for 16 years!” a girl with green hair exclaimed.
“Georgia, how many times to I have to explain this?! They tried kidnapping your grandmother. I was a fool to let them be our allies. Besides, since they became our allies, Candia has shrunk to the size of a simple kingdom. Not the large empire we used to be. We need territory and Exotia hasn't even offered to help us.” Briar snapped, her normally usually red eyes burned with rage.
“Mom, That's not Exotia’s fault! Besides, there is no proof it was Exotia that tried taking grandma Cloud. Your just saying that because you need a reason to attack them and steal their land!” a boy appeared beside Georgia.
“This is why neither of you are fit to rule! You ignore the obvious reasons to attack another nation, and question my decisions! Now get back to your duties.” Briar scowled and stalked down the corridor.
“Georgia, we seriously need to find a way to stop her.” Ashton turned to Georgia.
“I agree, but the thing is, how did we stop her?” Georgia frowned as she glanced at her brother.
“We could…uhmm….” Ashton trailed off lost in thought. He yelped as someone appeared beside him.
“We could use our team in Cloud Arena to gather people, and then convince them to stand up to mom.”
“Great idea Lance! It's not as if we're only ranked number 20! Everyone will totally want to join our team.” Georgia rolled her eyes at Ashton sarcasm.
“You're just jealous you didn't think of it.” She teased.
“Georgia is right you know Ashton.Besides, it's easy to get a higher rank.” A girl slung her arm around Georgia with a grin as Ashton protested.
“Oh Nellie! I was wondering where you were.” Georgia chuckled as Ashton's face turned red.
“I was out in the garden.” Nellie replied.
“Oh! Makes sense.” Georgia smacked the back of Lance's head and then ran away, in the direction of their room. Lance sprinted after her. As they disappeared, Nellie and Ashton heard a mixture of shouts, including Lance's holler of triumph.
“Well. Let's go get them, shall we?” Nellie glanced at Ashton who nodded, "Then we can start working.”
