“W-why’s all this happening?” Titania asked in a small voice.

“We don’t know yet, darling. But  we’ll be sure to tell you as soon as we have an idea.” Tia said, giving her a hug.

“Hey Tia. Can you check the news? I want to see if news of this is already out.” I glanced back at her.

“Sure.”  Tia let go of Titania and reached for her computer, opening it and nearly immediately moving her mouse around and clicking.

“Oh my…” Titania trailed off, her voice sounding startled.

“What?” Caeden asked.

“Well it's just that..remember when Nick said people were suspecting we were dead? Now people are saying we’re trying to kill ourselves for ratings.” Tia looked up at me.

I chuckled before saying, “Can one of you get me my computer? We should start working on posts.”

Almost immediately my computer was shoved between the gap of Caeden and I’s seat. I grabbed it and whipped it open, beginning to type.

“You want to stop here?” Caeden nodded to a truck stop not too far ahead.

“Sure.” I shrugged and he switched lanes. I was opening my mouth to say something else when I heard a Pop and suddenly, we were slowing down.

Caeden sighed and began opening his door while I turned towards Titania and Tia, who were both sitting wide eyed.

Tia looked at me with confusion on her face when she noticed Caeden had gotten out. “Where’s Caeden?”

“Outside.” I shrugged.

“H-he shouldn’t be out there right now.” Titania said shakily.

“Why’s that?” I raised an eyebrow at her.

“Well, he can be out there. If he wants your parents to see him and take him back to your house.” Tia shrugged.

I was just about to respond when Caeden got back in and said, “we have a flat tire.”

“Hmm. That should be an easy fix. Come on.” Both me and Caeden got out and I followed him, having already forgotten about Tia and Titania’s warning.

“So which tire is it?” I asked.

“The back left one” Caeden replied, “Oh and guess what.”

“Hmmm?”

“Mom and dad left me a message saying, and i quote ‘where the heck are you guys?’ I haven't responded yet because I wanted to hear your opinion.”

“Reply with the truth.” I said after a bit.

“What? Why?” Caeden sounded confused.

“You want them to launch a world wide search for us?” I looked up at him as I cranked the tool to lift the van up. “If they want to know where we are, there’s probably a reason they don’t want to say over text because they're worried about who’s watching.”

“Oh. I hadn't thought of that.” he said as we began removing the flat tire.

We had just finished replacing the tire when Tia leaned her head out of the van and said, “Caeden. Lyn. your phones are blowing up with messages from your parents.”

“Of course they are.” I smacked Caeden in the head and ignored his complaints as I climbed into the driver seat.

“Any idea why they are? It's getting annoying.” Titania groaned, poking her head through the gap between the driver seat and passenger seat.

“Probably because for some reason, they want to know where we are. Can you hand me my phone please?” I said, forcing back a chuckle.

“Sure.” her head disappeared, replaced by her hand and my phone a moment later.

“Thanks.” I said, before adding, “And are you canceling your campaign or are you gonna tell us where we’re going next?”

“We’re going to Knoxville. And remember the SUVs at the hotel in Memphis? Well they are meeting us there.”

“That's good to know.” Caeden said as he adjusted his sunglasses. I quickly turned my phone on and began typing a response to my mom and dad.

“Alright.” I said, setting my phone down, “Let's get going.”
