One day, two women were walking down a path towards their palace. Cloud and Tynley loved their land but thought it could be made even more beautiful. So they held a meeting at noon the next day, but instead of the adults, they held it for the kids. After all, they agreed, kids are part of us, they should have a say in what goes on in our land.

“I have gathered you all here because I feel we could do something extra to make our land even more beautiful. But I need your help in brainstorming ideas of what we can do.” she asked the kids.

One kid burst out almost immediately, “You mean we can decide?!”

Tynley smiled as she said, “Yes, you all get to decide”

The kids cheered, danced and jumped all around, as they were very excited. They then came up with a plan on  how they would decide.  They first brainstormed ideas, then one kid held sticks of varying sizes for others to grab. The one who got the longest was the one whose idea they would choose.

“Do you think we can make everything candy, Ms. Cloud?” the winner asked.

“Of course we can! Let's go tell everyone.” she said, leading the kids to the center of town.

“Everyone, gather around!” She called and everyone came quickly to hear what Cloud had to say. “These kids have helped me to find a way to make our land more beautiful. Kids, tell them your idea. “

“WE’RE GOING TO MAKE IT CANDY!” the kids shouted together eagerly.

The crowd was stunned at first but loved the idea. They cheered and clapped for the kids' idea. They then began to ask the kids a few questions on how they thought the land should look, since it was the kids' idea and they should have a say. The kids answered eagerly and when preparations were underway, did their best to help.

The people searched through spell books and scrolls for anything that would help. After finding spells, they chanted them carefully, so as not to mispronounce them. When the spell casting was done, the kids had one final idea.

“Miss Tynley, I think we should have a name more candy related.” the kids told Tynley

“Oh? And what should it be?” Tynley asked with a smile

“Maybe Candia?” the kids suggested.

“What a wonderful name! Come, let's make it official.”

They informed Cloud, who wrote the new name on paper, so as to have a record. Afterwards, she had the kids go door to door. At each door, the kids told everyone that the land was now called Candia. The next day, they had a small party to celebrate the successful transition to an even more beautiful place.
